Toronto’s C.J. Graphics First to Purchase Scodix Ultra Pro with Scodix Foil in North America

CHICAGO – September 14, 2015 – Scodix, the leader in digital enhancement solutions for the graphic arts industry, today announced they have already sold their first Scodix Ultra Pro system with a Scodix Foil station. Just launched this week, Scodix Foil is an inline digital foiling solution exclusively supporting the Scodix Ultra Pro digital enhancement press. Scodix Foil is ideal for In-house shops and digital service providers, and makes it cost-effective to implement the many benefits of foil for run lengths from 1 up to 10,000. Just about any project, including packaging, brochures, business cards, invitations and book covers, can be enhanced via the Scodix Ultra Pro system.

Purchasing the first system is C.J. Graphics Inc., one of the most distinguished printers in North America. The company has been recognized with literally thousands of print awards for projects ranging from business cards and stationery packages to books, calendars, car catalogues and everything in between. The quality of C.J. Graphics’ printing has been widely celebrated by its peers and associated industries. For example, each year Printing Industries of America, hosts the Premier Print Awards—commonly called The Bennys— the graphic arts industry’s largest international printing competition. This year, C.J. Graphics Inc. is receiving six coveted Bennys, more than any other printing firm in North America.

Jay Mandarino. President and Founder of C.J. Graphics noted, “For more than 35 years we’ve grown the company steadily into the multi-faceted company it is today. It recently opened a third, custom-built state of- the-art facility in Toronto, and is continuing to grow. No company succeeds by standing still, and the Scodix system will elevate and differentiate us from any competitor in North America.

We view the Scodix Foil station as a critical component. It enables the creative thinkers to look beyond the complications associated with traditional foiling and just focus upon the value of the effect. I look forward to educating the market through our many channels concerning the many new facets of enhancement now available through C.J. Graphics.”

Using a unique patent foiling process, Scodix is able to digitally produce professional results that match and transcend quality standards of either traditional hot foil or cold foil processes. And, Scodix Foil efficiently uses readily-available foils to produce a range of colors such as gold, silver, bronze and more, with no waste or mess. With the addition of the foiling station, Scodix Ultra Pro becomes the industry’s most versatile digital enhancement system, offering Scodix Sense™, Scodix Foil, Scodix SPOT™, Scodix Braille™, Scodix Metallic™ and Scodix VDP / VDE, all in one system.
