Roy Porat CEO
Mr. Roy Porat joins Scodix as CEO with over 15 years of Executive Management experience in the high-tech environment. Prior to accepting this role he served as CEO of Camtek Ltd, a global $100M publicly traded (NASDAQ) company for 6 years. Before this, he spent 8 years as President of Camtek Subsidiaries first in the US and then in HK managing the Asian business. He also served as CEO at Aeronautics Ltd, a leading provider of UAVs, and PCB Technologies, a leading Israeli Printed Circuit Board manufacturer. Roy holds a B.Sc in Industrial Engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion) in Haifa.
Dvora Nuriel-Valach CFO
Ms. Dvora Nuriel-Valach, has more than 20 years of financial management experience in high-tech and multinational corporations. In her last position, Dvora served as CFO at Redbend from 2013. Prior to this role, Dvora worked for several high-tech companies in the position of CFO and Executive VP including Scitex Vision. Earlier, for 11 years until 2000, Dvora served in various managerial positions in Scitex Corporation with annual revenues of $500M. Dvora brings with her comprehensive experience in all aspects of finance and business management. Dvora holds a BA in Economy & Political Science and an MBA, both from the Tel-Aviv University.
Kobi Bar Co-founder
Mr. Kobi Bar, a veteran of the Graphics Industry, co-founded Scodix Ltd. in 2007 and held the position of CEO at Scodix. Prior to founding Scodix, Kobi was the R&D Electronic Department Manager at DIP Tech, the leading supplier of inkjet digital printing systems for the glass industry. Kobi also held the position of Electronic Engineer at NUR Macroprinters Ltd., a manufacturer of super wide format digital printers and inks, for over five years. Kobi holds a B.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Coventry, UK. With his innovative vision, Kobi plans to transform the printing world with the new Scodix DigitalEnhancement™ press technology.
Eli Grinberg CTO and Co-founder
Mr. Eli Grinberg has worked since 1997 in the Graphic Arts industry. In 2007, Eli co-founded Scodix Ltd. where he holds the position of CTO and manages all R&D and Intellectual Property activities. Prior to founding Scodix, Eli held the position of R&D Engineer at Objet Geometries, the innovation leader in 3D printing, from 2005 until 2007. Prior to this appointment, Eli served as Mechanical Engineer at HP Indigo and NUR Macroprinters Ltd., a manufacturer of super wide format digital printers and inks that was successfully sold to HP. From 1997 until 2000 Eli held the position of Mechanical Designer at Scitex which was sold to Kodak. Eli holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tel Aviv.
Amit Shvartz VP Marketing
Mr. Amit Shvartz has over 18 years of experience in Executive Marketing Management. Prior to joining the Scodix team, Amit was the VP of Marketing of Extricom, a privately held firm specializing in enterprise wireless LAN. Before assuming his position at Extricom, Mr. Shvartz was Corporate VP of Marketing at Objet Geometrics. Over a 10-year period beginning in 1995 with well-known industry trailblazers Scitex and Creo, he held strategic executive-level positions. He draws upon a hugely successful international B2B and B2C sales and marketing career, with a proven track record in distribution, strategic business development, products planning, marketing, and branding.
Menachem Buchsbaum VP Customer Services
Mr. Menachem Buchsbaum joined Scodix in August 2011, bringing with him more than 15 years of experience in international sales and professional services in the printing and ink jet industries. Menachem, who specializes in establishing international service organizations, held his last position at Printar Inc. (acquired by Camtek), where he was VP customer service. Previously he served as director of customer services at Verint Systems, General Manager at SuperCom Smart Cards, European General Manager for Karat Digital Press and Europe Input / Output Devices Service Manager for Scitex. Menachem holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey and an MSc in Engineering from Columbia University in New York (Cum Laude).
Ziki Kuly VP Customers Business Development
Mr. Ziki Kuly has vast experience in the advertising and Graphic Arts industry. Ziki was part of Shalmor Avnon Amichay, the leading Israeli advertising agency, and later joined Scitex Vision headquarters in Israel. In 2004, Ziki was appointed as the Scitex Vision NA Marketing Manager, when he moved with his family to Atlanta, GA. In 2005, HP acquired Scitex Vision, and Ziki later became the group GM in the US leading all its activities in NA.
Boaz Nitzan VP R&D
Dr. Boaz Nitzan brings vast experience in the Printing Industry and years of executive management experience leading cross-functional research and development teams of novel technology products (Printing, Med-Tech, Clean-Tech) with global multi-disciplinary technology companies.
Prior to joining Scodix , Dr. Nitzan served as V.P, Functional Ink Jet Technologies (FIT) Division manager at Camtek, VP R&D and Production at BPT-Bio Pure Technology, Entrepreneur in Residence at Arkin Holdings and V.P. R&D at Power Paper.
From 1999-2005 he served in a number of senior management positions in companies such as Pixdro, Scitex Vision, Aprion Digital and Scitex.
Dr. Nitzan holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry, specializing in surface science & special polymers applications, holds several patents and has authored numerous professional publications.
Tehiya Zilberman VP HR
Mrs. Tehiya Zilberman has over 15 years of extensive experience in managerial HR positions in Global Hi-Tech companies. She worked in SAP for 14 years in various HR roles, experienced in managing global teams, leading recruitment in emerging markets, developing and implementing HR strategies, policies and programs. The last position being Heading the Talent Acquisition Strategy and execution in the fast growing market units of EMEA. Tehiya has a BA in Behavioral Science and holds an MBA specializing in organizational consultation and HR management.

Shlomo Shamir Chairman of the Board
Dr. Shamir serves as the Chairman of the Board of Scodix. Before joining the board of Scodix, Dr. Shamir served as the president of Aeronautics Ltd., and prior to that he served as the president and CEO of NICE Systems Ltd. During his tenure at NICE Systems, the company grew from a $120m business to over $600m, and from a $300m to $2.4b market cap, doing business globally with 80% of Fortune 100 companies as customers.
Prior to being with NICE, Dr. Shamir served as Scitex America’s and later CreoScitex America’s President and CEO, both market leaders in the pre-press and digital printing industries. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Physics from the Technion in Israel and M.Sc. and PhD degrees in Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford University, Palo Alto, California. He brings with him vast experience in all aspects of building, managing and bringing to global leadership hi-tech companies in the printing, communications and other industries. He currently serves on the board of various public and privately held companies.
Dov Ofer Vice Chairman of the Board
Mr. Dov Ofer serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Scodix. Mr. Ofer served as the Chief Executive Officer of Lumenis Ltd. since April 2007. Mr. Ofer served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Aprion Digital Ltd. since January 2003. Mr. Ofer served as President and Chief Executive Officer of HP Scitex (Also known as Scitex Vision Ltd.), a subsidiary of Scailex Corp., Ltd. since January 2002 and served as its Vice President and General Manager. Mr. Ofer served as Scitex Vision’s Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development from 1999 to January 2002. Mr. Ofer served as Managing Director of Matan Digital Printing, a company whose super-wide format technology and operations were acquired by Scitex Vision in 1998. Mr. Ofer holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel and an MBA Degree from University of California – Berkeley.
Glen Schwaber Director / ICV
Glen Schwaber is a founding partner of ICV. Glen is a veteran venture capitalist, bringing with him 20 years experience in Israeli technology finance. Glen’s investment interests are focused in traditional information sectors such as software, internet, semiconductors, wireless hardware/capital equipment. Prior to joining ICV, Glen was a partner at Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP). He also helped establish JVP Studio, a seed stage incubator investment vehicle, which is today home to exceptional seed stage companies focusing on software and media.
Glen holds a Masters in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a B.A. from Harvard College.
Shmil Levy Director / Partner Sequoia Capital Israel
Shmil works with Internet, mobile, and technology companies in Israel. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 2000, he was the President of Lucent Technologies Internetworking Systems Division. Shmil joined Lucent following Lucent’s acquisition of Lannet where he served as the President and CEO. Shmil joined Lannet as VP for R&D. Shmil also served as VP of Madge Networks. Before joining Lannet, Shmil held senior technical positions at IAI, Boeing and Astronautics in the area of Avionic Systems. Shmil has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Ben-Gurion University.
Yoni Cheifetz Director / Partner Lightspeed Venture Partners
Yoni leads Lightspeed’s investment activity in Israel. He has nine years of venture capital experience and sixteen years of operating experience. Prior to joining Lightspeed in 2006 , Yoni was a partner with Star Ventures, leading investments including: AeroScout (acquired by Stanley Black & Decker), Kabira (acquired by Tibco), Mercado (acquired by Omniture), Sandlinks, Sheer Networks (acquired by Cisco), and Teneros (acquired by Onging Operations). Previously, Yoni was a serial entrepreneur and investor for sixteen years in software companies, including: Demantra (acquired by Oracle), Agentics (acquired by Mercado), Earnix and Traiana (acquired by ICAP). Prior to his career as an entrepreneur, Yoni ran product management and business development for Click Software (CKSW). Yoni holds a BSc in Applied Mathematics from Tel-Aviv University and an MSc in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the Weizmann Institute of Science.
Itzik Parnafes Director / Partner Battery Ventures
At Battery, Itzik focuses on investments in Information Technology. He is currently on the boards of cVidya, GoEuro, Panaya and Scodix. Itzik is a board observer for ZeRTO, and led Battery’s investment in Delphix. Itzik was on the board of XtremIO prior to its acquisition by EMC. He also spent time working alongside the Battery investment team as an Entrepreneur in Residence in the firm’s Israel office. Before Battery, Itzik was a Partner with Stata Ventures, where he led investments in Provigent (acq: Broadcom), Comability (acq: Ruckus wireless), Sentrigo (acq: Symantec) and ZikBit.
Before venture investing, Itzik spent the majority of his career as an entrepreneur. He co-founded Kagoor Networks, a leader in Voice over IP technologies, and led it to a successful acquisition by Juniper Networks, its first acquisition of an Israeli company. Previously, Itzik led the R&D of Class Data Systems until it was acquired by Cisco Systems, the first of many acquisitions in Israel. Before joining the private sector, Itzik led a landmark infrastructure project in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) that won the prestigious Israel Defense Award. Itzik holds a BSc summa cum laude in CS and Math from the Technion – Institute of Technology.
Yaniv Tepper Managing Partner & Co-Founder / Angeleno Group
Mr. Tepper is co-founder and a Managing Partner of Angeleno Group. Since its founding in 2001, Angeleno Group has become one of the largest dedicated growth equity investment firms with a global platform focused on high growth investments in next generation energy and Industrial resource efficiency companies. Prior to the formation of Angeleno Group in 2001, Mr. Tepper managed $2 billion in private and public equities and structured securities on behalf of institutional and mutual fund clients while at Aetna (now ING Investment Management). Under Mr. Tepper’s management, his funds grew from $150 million to $2 billion, consistently outperformed the funds’ benchmarks, and ranked in the top tier of their competitive universe. Earlier in his career, Mr. Tepper held various engineering R&D positions at Bechtel in San Francisco and at M.I.T.’s Advanced Materials Lab in Cambridge under the Department of Energy. He has been a speaker and lecturer on topics including asset allocation, sector diversification, and alternatives investing and an author in major financial publications. Mr. Tepper holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley, an M.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from M.I.T. and an M.S. in management from M.I.T.
