Scodix1200™ Digital Enhancement Press Deployed In US with HP Financing

Greensboro, NC — January 11, 2012 — A Scodix1200™ Digital Press is now being deployed for the first time by AccuLink, a leading US print service provider, adding the innovative Scodix SENSE ™ printing experience to its offering of services. Financing for the digital press was made available by Hewlett-Packard Financial Services Company (HPFS), the leasing and lifecycle asset management subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard Company (HP).

Digital enhancement leader Scodix is an HP Gold Partner, enabling its customers to benefit from HPFS financing offers that help conserve capital for new technology investments that expand services.

“We are pleased that Scodix was able to partner with HPFS to help AccuLink acquire a Scodix1200™ and expand its business value through new technology,” said Scodix VP Global Sales and Business Development Dror Danai.

“HPFS financing opens the door to a Scodix1200™ for print service providers, enabling them to offer higher margin products and services,” Danai added.

HPFS helps HP clients acquire and deploy technology solutions that meet their business needs, offering flexible financing solutions for customers deploying the latest digital printing technologies from HP and its partners. By providing customers with a total cost of ownership (TCO) assessment, HPFS can help ensure the right investment decisions are made.

The Scodix1200™ produces Scodix SENSE™, a new digital printing experience that touches the senses with a high-quality look and tangible dimension, bringing true differentiation to the print service provider, clients and products. It is a complimentary solution to color printing systems such as the HP Indigo sheetfed presses.

The press makes Scodix SENSE™ by registering clear polymer with pinpoint accuracy to images using a patented optical guidance system. Delivering variable levels of thickness and texture on single or dual-sided printing, the Scodix1200™ has the capacity to produce up to 99 Gloss Units (GU), polymer height up to 70 microns, and density capabilities from 1% to 100%, for an unmatched range of enhancement.
