Press Release

Scodix to Conduct North American Launch of Scodix Cast&Cure at PRINT 18

Scodix Cast&Cure, a 3D Holographic Effect, can be used in many segments, including greeting cards, direct mail, retail tags, yearbooks, publishing, packaging and folding carton, as well as for increasingly evolving security applications.

CHICAGO – September 25, 2018 – Scodix, the leader in digital enhancement solutions for the graphic arts industry, today announced this year’s exhibit at PRINT 18 (September 30 thru October 2, Chicago) will demonstrate real-world applications and projects, from clients worldwide, that have benefitted from Scodix enhancement technology. The company will conduct live demos of the Scodix Ultra2 Pro with Foil multi-material platform showing imaging of both coated and uncoated paper and substrates. The samples will feature a combination of nine different enhancement effects now commercially available, including the newest, Scodix Cast&Cure™.

The ultimate goal of any business owner is to expand the bottom-line,” notes Scodix North American VP of Sales and GM Mark Nixon. “The applications are a means to an end that provide designers with another tool to attract new clients, enhance project capabilities and impact, and ensure job success. So when we hear user feedback such as Anstadt Communications’ [“The Scodix press easily paid for itself in the first year.”], and you see the impact it has on a user’s marketing efforts [Two Scodix users recently won Benny Awards: GotPrint.com and TPC Printing & Packaging], you realize that Scodix systems are making a difference that transcends a customer’s production department.”

 Scodix Cast&Cure

Empowering Scodix Foil Station users, Scodix Cast&Cure creates a high-impact 3D holographic effect, bringing a whole new dimension, and value proposition, to print projects. Employing a variety of standard off-the-shelf holographic patterns, as well as customized designs, this new technique delivers unmatched style and security features to brochures, retail tags, folding boxes and packaging, displays, yearbooks and book covers, as well as all types of bags.

Unparalleled Options

With Scodix Cast&Cure, users can now mix and match up to nine different enhancement effects, and can be printed on a large variety of substrates including uncoated, plastics and more. This is more than any other digital enhancement system. Scodix other eight applications include: Scodix Sense™, Scodix Foil™, Scodix Spot™, Scodix VDP/VDE™, Scodix Metallic™, Scodix Glitter™, Scodix Crystal™ and Scodix Braille™

 Award Winning

Scodix provides a very unique and desirable look and feel that is easily and quickly captured in a digital workflow. Unlike traditional analog techniques, implementing and applying varying enhancements is both predictable and very designer-friendly. Both ease-of-use and enhancement quality are to be demonstrated at this year’s 2018 Premier Print Awards Reception & Ceremony (September 30th at the JW Marriott Chicago Hotel) where Scodix user GotPrint will receive the coveted 2018 Benjamin Franklin “Benny” Award for the Digital Enhancement Printing category. This is the second year in a row that they have won a Benny using Scodix technology.

Printing, packaging and publishing professionals are encouraged to schedule a 1:1 demo to discuss how Scodix can not only enhance production capabilities but expand market reach and accelerate profit ratios. Demonstrations can be requested at: http://scodix.com/lp/print18/
