“We’ve long been an admirer of the innovation that comes out of Scodix and the Metallic feature aims to be one of their most valuable. I first saw this option earlier this year at DSCOOP and was immediately eager to implement it. Within a week of the show, we were producing stunning samples to impress both internal executives, as well as to use as promotional tools for sales. Using our Indigo workflow, Scodix Metallic takes the Scodix output to another level of eye-catching that greatly enhances the promotional value of packaging, direct mail or any business communication offering. In fact, we produce our AccuLink business cards using this new effect.”
AccuLink, located in Greenville, North Carolina, has been servicing the graphic communications industry since 1980 and now has established clients in all 50 states, as well as internationally. The company’s mission is to continue to add value to our communication solutions with superior service, technology and expertise. Entrusted with managing, producing and distributing sensitive projects globally, AccuLink strives to always exceed their client’s highest expectations. With roots in quick printing, technology and distribution services, AccuLink has grown to be a respected vendor by thousands of customers coast to coast.
The value of traditional metallic printing is well chronicled, yet standard methods are time consuming, often cost-prohibitive, and even designers struggle to work effectively with it. Scodix Metallic not only simplifies the application, but dramatically reduces both time and costs. Realistically, Scodix Metallic chops cost savings by an average three to ten times, compared to traditional methods. And time savings are practically a non-issue. I estimate a time savings of 20 to 30 times.
AccuLink is fortunate to have discovered and implemented Scodix technology relatively early on. While much of our competition is still coming up to speed on this major differentiator, we’ve been able to be one of their leading beta sites. The fact that Scodix engages multiple senses is a big deal. People remember the images longer because their recall ability goes up by a factor of four or five times, if not more, if you use more than one sense. The metallic option further captures the audience through enhanced visual stimulation. And isn’t this the goal of every commercial service provider, and every client?
Scodix Metallic will revolutionize the way service providers not only think about metallic printing, but more importantly how they apply it. I envision a time very soon when metallic printing will evolve from a specialty option to a standard practice. I can see Scodix Metallic leading the way.”
