Ipex 2010 attracts impressive line up of first-time exhibitors

Ipex 2010 continues to attract important global print industry suppliers wanting to make their debut at the international event. Over 22 per cent of the current 55,000 square metres of floor space sold have been allocated to exhibitors who are occupying entire stands for the first time. Companies who are already on the floorplan include Deyang Litong Printing Machinery, Mitsubishi Paper, Océ, OKI Printing Solutions, Olympus, Ricoh, Scodix, Shantou Jinhuang Industry Trade, and Transeo Media, Printers Superstore, Futuregrafic, Rigo and Zhejiang Konita New Materials.

Said Ipex 2010 event director Trevor Crawford (right), ‘Despite the current economic climate, the large number of new exhibitors reflects the status of Ipex as an international launch pad to the graphic arts industry. This is because we continue to showcase an impressive breadth of innovative technologies, help companies increase their company profiles globally and attract a wide range of visitor groups from different industries and countries.’

Exhibiting for the first time, digital kit manufacturer OKI Printing Solutions has booked 90 sq/m to display its new technologies. Andrew Hall, marketing manager of OKI Printing Solutions UK, said, ‘The recent launch of our C9650XF and C9850 Colourproof short run digital presses show that we are serious about expanding into the graphic arts market. Our participation at Ipex will enable us to implement this strategy further – we can reach professional printers from both the UK and international markets, present them with innovative solutions that help them provide consistent quality output to their customers, and raise awareness of the OKI brand in the industry.’

Masaya Oda, sales & marketing manager of Olympus, explained why the company will take part in Ipex for the first time, ‘Ipex is regarded by many in the graphic arts industry as the must-attend event in 2010, hence it is the ideal platform for us to launch new products, raise the profile of our company amongst global professional printers, and make spot sales.’
