Chicago-based marketing services production company Tukaiz says it is winning and producing jobs that no other business in its market can, thanks to its installation of a Scodix S74 digital enhancement press in January. The company has integrated the S74 with its arsenal of HPIndigo and Scitex engines to give it the edge for a range of direct mail and point-of-sale applications.

“The biggest advantage of the Scodix press is being able to offer something new in the industry that not many people have right now,” explains Matt Giandonato, digital print manager at Tukaiz.

“We’re educating people that we can do Scodix enhancements on offsetdigital, large-format, and we can do variable as well. The detail you can achieve with Scodix is way beyond anything else out there right now. If you had an option to do something similar like a spot-UV, when you compare the two side by side, the Scodix stands out so much more.”

Since installing the Scodix machine, Tukaiz has produced work for clients including the United States Postal Service, which can now be found in 47,000 outlets across the US.
