On Monday at GRAPH EXPO, Scodix VP Sales & Business Development, Dror Danai, presented the company’s Pioneer of Print Award to business partners Tom O’Brien and Lindsay Gray for purchasing the first Scodix1200™ Digital Press in the U.S.

O’Brien & Gray are co-owners of Acculink, a full-service small commercial printing company in Greenville, NC, which has been ranked in Quick Printing’s Annual Top 100 list for number of years.

(L to R) Tom O’Brien and Lindsay Gray of Acculink receive the Pioneers of Print Award from Kobi Bar and Dror Danai of Scodix.

The Scodix1200™ (Booth 4422) is a digital enhancement press that produce the Scodix SENSE™ printing experience that makes a lasting impression on the user for effective brand differentiation.

The digital enhancement brings a new, high-quality look and tangible dimension to printed graphic communications. Using 99 Gloss Units, the press creates the highest gloss available for printed materials, up to 70 microns in polymer height – 10 times higher than selective varnish. Gloss density capabilities, ranging from 1% to 100%, allowing for easy single or dual-side printing.

“As soon as I saw what this press could do, I knew it was something we had to have”, says O’Brien. “There just isn’t any other piece of equipment that can do what it does”. Not only will Acculink offer the special effect printing to its own customers, but O’Brien and Lindsay also plan to outsource the unique service to other printing companies.
